Pune: Husband Kidnaps, Murders And Hides Wife’s Dead Body In Sugarcane Field
Daund, 26th May 2023: An incident of a husband kidnapping and killing his wife had come to light in Daund taluka of Pune. After the murder, the husband hid the dead body in a sugarcane field. The said incident took place in Lonarwadi village of Daund taluka. Daund police have arrested the husband in this case.
The name of the wife is Surekha Santosh Pawar. The name of the accused husband is Santosh Ahirya Pawar (28). Pawar has been charged with kidnapping and murder. Chandebai Nahiraj Bhosale has filed a complaint in this regard.
According to the information given by the police, there was an argument between husband and wife over a minor reason. The dispute escalated to such an extent that the husband kidnapped his wife and then killed her. After the murder, her body was hidden in a sugarcane field to destroy the evidence, and the husband fled the scene.
In this case, Chandebai complained to the Daund police. Accordingly, while investigating, the police caught the accused husband. After arresting him, he was thoroughly interrogated and confessed to the murder.
He also said that he hid his wife’s body in a sugarcane field in the agricultural land owned by Walunjkar in the limits of village Lonarwadi in Daund taluka. After that, Daund police went to the spot and took the body into custody after inspection. Daund police are investigating the matter further.
