Qualifier Paparkar continues upset spree to enter finals at 18th Ramesh Desai Memorial Under 16 Tennis Championship
Kolhapur, May 26, 2023: Qualifier Arnav Paparkar of Maharashtra upset second seeded Aradhya Kshitij of Karnataka 6-3, 6-4 to enter the boys finals of the 18th Ramesh Desai Memorial Under 16 Tennis Championship organized by Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and Kolhapur District Tennis Association (KDLTA) and sponsored by DY Patil and played at KDLTA Tennis Complex, Kolhapur.
14year and 5 months old Paparkar who made it to the main draw Draw from the qualifying also set up a All Maharashtra clash in the finals ,as he will take on fourth seed Samarth Sahita who registered a. 6-4,6-0 win over Praneel Sharma of Delhi .
In the Girls singles finals Karnataka player Sai Janvi T stunned thirteenth seeded Nanika Reddy Bendram of Maharashtra 6-3, 6-4 , ahe will now take on nineteenth seeded Rishitha Basireddy of Telangana who stopped the winning run of another fourteen year old Prisha Shinde of Maharashtra 6-1, 7-6(2) to make the finals
It will be also an All Maharashtra clash In the girls doubles event as Aakruti Sonkusare and Aishwarya Jadhav the topseeded pair will take on second seeded Nanika Bendra and Sejal Bhutada in the finals
