Pune: IAF Women Officers Make Students Aware of Career Opportunities In Armed Forces

Yerwada, 4th April 2022: A visit by women officers of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to Nanasaheb Parulekar School, Yerwada was organised by Base Repair Depot (BRD), Pune as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which is being celebrated by the nation to commemorate India’s 75 years of Independence.

The school is a girl’s school upto class X. The event was attended by two women officers of Base Repair Depot, Pune on 23 Mar 22. Students interacted with the officers and they were made aware of the career opportunities in IAF.

A presentation was also given to the students which covered various avenues in the Armed Forces, including the newly introduced NDA entry for women officers. Students were also briefed about the entry of girls into various institutions imparting military education viz. Sainik Schools.

Students interacted with the officers with enthusiasm and asked numerous questions about Armed Forces. Many of them expressed their keenness to consider Armed Forces as a career option in future.
