Pune: IISER Organises Ted Event On Theme ‘Melange’

Pune, 18th January 2023: The TEDx event organized by an undergraduate student club of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune will feature speakers and performers from around the world. The event is being organized in collaboration with TED, an independent organization known for its thought-provoking talks by experts in various fields. The event will take place on 22nd January 2023, in the CV Raman auditorium, at IISER Pune.

The experts are world-renowned entrepreneurs, artists, military officials, and scientists. The lineup of speakers for the event includes professionals, such as Aman Dhattarwal, founder of Apni Kaksha and Apna College, Himanshi Singh, founder and educator at Let’s Learn, and Dushyant Edadasula, founder of Citizens of Science. The event will also feature highly acclaimed experts from other fields, such as Kathak, represented by Dr Pali Chandra, Ex-Indian Army Colonel, Col Parag Gupte, Researcher, and Doctor, Karuna Dutta, and Scientist, Dr Ganesh Bagler. This varied range of speakers supports the event theme – Melange.

The event will also include an enthralling Kathak performance, Anukrama, which will take the audience on a journey through storytelling. A troupe of actors from Swatantra Theatres will also be performing a mime act on the rather not much spoken-about but significant challenge to tackle in society – female foeticide.
