Illegal Parking of Construction Trucks Triggers Daily Traffic Chaos in NIBM Annexe

Kondhwa, 26th November 2025: Residents of NIBM Annexe have raised serious concerns over construction trucks occupying the main road, turning a crucial two-way stretch into a narrow and hazardous single lane. The illegal parking of dumpers, concrete mixers and heavy carriers has reportedly continued for months, leading to daily traffic chaos and safety risks.

During rush hours, school buses and motorists inch forward as they attempt to squeeze past the long line of stationary vehicles. Two-wheeler riders say they frequently encounter close calls, especially after dark when visibility worsens.

“We have reached out to authorities multiple times, but the situation remains the same,” said local resident Nitin D’Souza, who recently filed a formal complaint on behalf of the community. “This is not a small inconvenience — people are genuinely in danger.”

Parents say children walking to school are forced to navigate between moving traffic and construction trucks. With footpaths already encroached upon, pedestrians have no choice but to step onto the road.
“We should not have to gamble with our safety just for a daily walk,” D’Souza added, urging traffic officials to intervene before an accident occurs.

In his complaint submitted to the Senior Police Inspector of the Kondhwa Traffic Division, D’Souza has demanded immediate corrective action, including:
* Clearing all illegally parked construction vehicles
• Strict enforcement of no-parking regulations on the stretch
• Action against the construction company responsible for repeated offences

Residents insist only decisive enforcement will put an end to the recurring issue. Until then, they say, NIBM Annexe remains gridlocked every day by trucks that simply refuse to move.
