Pune: IMD Predicts Extended Rainfall for Maharashtra, Excluding Certain Regions

Pune, 6th August 2023: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued rain across the Maharashtra state over the next four days, with the exception of the Konkan coast, Ghat areas, and select areas in Vidarbha.

 

As per the India Meteorological Department’s report, intermittent light rain is anticipated along the coast, accompanied by gusty winds.

 

Additionally, sporadic light showers are expected in Ghat areas and Vidarbha regions. However, apart from these specified areas, the department has predicted a likelihood of rainfall throughout the state for the next four days. No specific weather warnings have been issued for the state during this period.

 

The overall intensity of rainfall has shown a decrease in the state. Over the last 24 hours, Mahabaleshwar has recorded the highest precipitation of 42.7 mm. Other recorded rainfall figures include 19.9 mm in Wardha, 9.6 mm in Satara, 9.4 mm in Amravati, 7.8 mm in Ratnagiri, 6.8 mm in Solapur, and 5.7 mm in Dahanu.
