Pune: Immediate Permission For Over 1,000 Ganesha Mandals Under ‘One Window Scheme’

Pune, 23rd August 2022: Pune City Police has started a window scheme under Police Station for various permissions required for Ganeshotsav mandals.

After receiving the applications from the mandals, the local police station, traffic branch, and special branch police are inspecting their premises. After checking the documents, permission is given within an hour.

According to DCP (Special Branch) R Raja, a total of 1,100 applications for permissions have been submitted by the mandals, out of which 1,000 mandals have been given immediate permission.

Ganeshotsav will start on 31st August. Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik recently interacted with the office bearers of the five revered Ganpati mandals. After that, the Joint Commissioner of Police Karnik visited Faraskhana Police Station on Monday (August 22). Karnik interacted with the officials of the mandals. Police officers, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Priyanka Naranvare, were present on this occasion.

Single window scheme has been started in each police station for Ganeshotsav mandals. Two policemen from the local police station, one policeman from the traffic branch, and a police officer from the special branch verify the permit applications filed by the Ganeshotsav Mandal.

With the single window scheme, the application is verified by the police and permission is given quickly. Traffic and crowded places have been inspected by the police. Accordingly, the police have planned arrangements, informed DCP Naranvare.
