Dattawadi, 14th June 2021: A 17-year-old boy was brutally murdered at Parvati Paytha on Sunday night. Pune police officials said that it was the fallout of past enmity and six persons including minors have been nabbed.

The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Waghmare of Janta Vasahat. The incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday.

According to police, on April 21 Sangram Lekawale (25) of Katraj was killed in Ambegaon Pathar. Bharati Vidyapeeth police station had arrested three accused persons and detained four minors including Waghmare. He was released from the remand home after a month. Things became complicated when Waghmare reportedly kept provoking WhatsApp status.

Lekawale’s maternal uncle and others planned to eliminate Waghmare. He was trapped on Sunday. He was called to collect his old phone. As he reached the Parvati Paytha, the accused attacked him with sharp weapons.

Based on complaint from Waghmare’s friend Dadaso Bansode, Dattawadi police station has arrested Lekawale’s maternal uncle Vrishabh Dattatray Renuse and others.
