Pune: Incomer Cable Damage Leaves Porwal Road Residents in Lohegaon Without Electricity for Over 16 Hours

Lohegaon, 26th June 2023: In a frustrating turn of events, residents of Porwal Road in Lohegaon have endured a prolonged electric outage exceeding 16 hours due to damage to the incomer cable. Despite numerous complaints made on the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) website, residents have yet to receive a satisfactory response from the utility provider.

MSEDCL spokesperson, Pro Nishikant Raut of Pune Division, informed Punekar News that power has been restored in most areas of the city. However, a few societies along Porwal Road are still grappling with the electricity outage. Raut assured that the restoration work on the damaged incomer cable is underway and is expected to be completed by 8:00 PM.

Jaskaran, a resident of Golden Winds Society on Porwal Road, expressed frustration over the prolonged power outage, stating that the electricity has been unavailable since 3:00 AM. With more than 14 hours without power, Jaskaran appealed for immediate action to rectify the situation.

Members of the Lohegaon Residents Welfare Association emphasized the dire situation, highlighting the importance of water and electricity as basic necessities for daily life. They called upon MSEDCL to take prompt action, urging the utility provider to go beyond merely increasing rates and prioritize providing efficient and reliable services.
