Pune: Incomplete Nomination Forms of Andekar Family Rejected, Says Election Officer

Bhawani Peth, 27th December 2025: The nomination forms submitted by members of the notorious Andekar family were not accepted on Saturday as they were found to be incomplete, election authorities said.
Gangster Bandu Andekar, Laxmi Udaykant Andekar and Sonali Vanraj Andekar arrived under police protection to file their nomination papers. However, during scrutiny, the election office found that the forms were only partially filled, leading to their rejection.
Election Returning Officer Kalyan Pandhre said the candidates still have time to complete the process. “The nomination forms submitted today were incomplete and therefore could not be accepted. There is a window of three more days available for filing nominations, during which the candidates can resubmit their forms after completing all formalities,” he said.
The nomination process is currently underway as part of the preparations for the upcoming municipal elections.
