Pune: Increasing Terror Of Local Goons, Mathadi Workers In PCMC Area, Yet Police Have Chosen To Ignore The Matter

These types of cases have grown up in societies in all areas. However, the society administration has accused the police of ignoring these cases.

There has been an increase in the number of cleaning jobs in the society, the appointment of security guards for security, pressurising for a brokerage for renting flats, recovery of Mathadi work etc. Therefore, the citizens have to suffer unnecessarily. Citizens of the society said that the police were ignoring their complaints.

Many people from the IT sector live in big societies. At some time, due to transfer from the companies, many people change their place of residence to avoid traffic jams. For this they provide shifting work on an individual level; however, as soon as their tempo came to the society citizens of that locality came there and the tempo is blocked at the gate. On the gate itself, they ask for three to five thousand in the name of Mathadi.

Many times people take a flat on rent via online booking, sometimes they directly contact the owner while some people book a flat through an app. In these cases, when people came to live in the flats, the local citizens come and asks for a two-month brokerage for living in their area.

Dattatray Deshmukh, President, Pimpri-Chinchwad Housing Society Federation informed that the “Number of the new societies has increased on the outskirts of the city. In view of increasing urbanization, illegal trades, agency, and Mathadi terror have increased in the new areas. ‘Our area is our agency’ this equation seems to be growing.
