Pune: Internal Roads Around Pune Rural Police HQ in Pashan Shut for Recruitment; Traffic Diversions in Place
Pashan, 11th February 2026: Vehicular movement on several internal roads near the Pune Rural Police Headquarters in Pashan will remain suspended daily between 4:00 am and 6:00 pm until February 17, as police recruitment activities continue, officials announced on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, Himmat Jadhav said the restrictions are aimed at ensuring the orderly and safe conduct of the ongoing recruitment process in the area.
The affected stretches include:
The internal road connecting the main entrance of the Superintendent of Police office on Pashan Road to the main entrance of Purandar Hall on Baner Road, and
The route between the petrol pump access point on Pashan Road and the petrol pump access point on Baner Road.
Motorists have been advised to avoid these stretches during restricted hours and instead use University Chowk as an alternate route. Commuters are urged to plan their travel accordingly and adhere to diversion instructions to minimise delays.
Traffic police personnel and directional signage have been deployed at key points to assist drivers and manage the flow of vehicles along the alternate routes.
