Pune: International Yoga Day is celebrated with enthusiasm at Shivsrushti
Pune, 24th June 2025: The International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shivsrushti, Asia’s largest historical theme park project, being developed by Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan at Ambegaon Budruk.
On this occasion, Shivsrushti officials, employees, and tourists participated in large numbers on both Saturday and Sunday, engaging in yoga sessions that included pranayama, meditation, surya namaskar, and various yoga asanas.
They also gained knowledge about yoga therapy for common ailments. The yoga sessions were guided by yoga instructor Anagha Kulkarni, a chartered accountant by profession, who conducts yoga classes with a social conscience, aiming to improve people’s physical and mental health through yoga lifestyle and therapy.
During the program, Anagha demonstrated various asanas, including tadasana, trikonasana, garudasana, bhujangasana, vajrasana, veerbhadrasana, ustrasana, dhanurasana, and ardha halasana, providing detailed information about their benefits. The participants showed positivity towards adopting yoga, understanding its importance in daily life. To encourage yoga practice, these sessions were open and free for everyone, and people can benefit from them until June 30.
A special yoga day rangoli, created for the occasion, proved to be a major attraction and selfie point for tourists.
