Pune IT Firm Accused of Taking 30% Salary Package for Jobs; FIR Registered

Aundh, 13th September 2026: Chaturshringi Police have registered an FIR against the owner and office-bearers of Creative Web Solution, an IT company operating from Aundh, following allegations that employees were charged money in exchange for jobs and promised high salary packages.
A group of 36 employees, out of an estimated workforce of around 150, had approached Chaturshringi Police Station and alleged that they collectively paid nearly ₹2 crore to the company’s owner. According to the employees, individual payments ranged from ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh.
The employees approached Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Rajnikant Chilumula with assistance from the Forum For IT Employees (FITE).
DCP Chilumula told Punekar News on Sunday, “An FIR has been registered and further investigation is going on.”
FIR Records Alleged Fraud of ₹77.71 Lakh
According to the Pune Police crime report, the case was registered at Chaturshringi Police Station on September 12 under Sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police have registered it as FIR No. 430/2026.
The complainant, identified in the police report as 39-year-old Archana Shivaji Indalkar, alleged that the company’s representatives promised her a high-paying job and collected ₹2.58 lakh, described as 30% of the salary package offered to her.
The FIR further states that 38 other employees were allegedly charged a combined ₹75.13 lakh, taking the amount formally recorded in the case to ₹77.71 lakh.
The ₹2 crore figure is the broader loss estimated by the group of employees who approached the police, while the FIR currently records transactions totalling ₹77.71 lakh.
CEO, MD and Other Officials Named
The police report names the company’s CEO, Ankush Wankhede alias Ashish Rahate, Managing Director Tejashri Khatal, HR representative Prasanna Padmakarrao Ambekar, and company representatives Sagar Suresh Shelar and Mansi Mangesh Shelar, along with others who may be identified during the investigation.
According to the FIR, the accused allegedly acted together to establish the company and attract jobseekers by promising substantial salary packages. Employees were allegedly required to pay 30% of the promised package before joining.
The complainant alleged that after collecting the money, the company failed to pay salaries for four months and subsequently shut down its operations.
The police report stated that none of the accused had been arrested at the time the case was recorded.
FITE Assisted Employees
FITE representatives assisted the affected employees in taking their complaint to senior police officials. The organisation has previously sought a Special Investigation Team to examine a series of alleged IT-sector job scams in Pune involving firms accused of charging freshers and early-career professionals for employment.
Police said further investigation is underway to verify the financial transactions, identify all affected employees, determine the total amount involved and establish the role of each person named in the FIR.
The allegations remain subject to investigation and have not yet been proven in court.
