Pune: Jain Muni Acharya Gupti Nandiji Confronts HND Jain Boarding Trustee, Demands Cancellation of Temple Land Sale
Shivajinagar, 25th October 2025: A heated confrontation took place at the HND Jain Boarding in Model Colony, Shivajinagar, when Trustee Shri Jayant Nandurkar was strongly admonished by Jain Muni Acharya Shri Gupti Nandiji over the sale of temple land.
Acharya Gupti Nandiji reportedly surrounded Trustee Nandurkar and demanded that the transaction be immediately cancelled. He also issued a stern warning to the authorities and others involved in the sale, stating that they would face severe consequences for their actions.
The Acharya questioned the legitimacy of the sale, saying, “The temple was removed from the trust documents. What kind of development justifies destroying religious heritage? Selling this land goes against the very purpose of the trust. The person who donated this land for religious and educational purposes clearly stated it cannot be sold. How can trustees violate this?”
He further cautioned that if the sale is not revoked by a specified date, it could trigger widespread protests across the country. He emphasized that trustees who act in the society’s interest are respected, while those who threaten it are not.
The incident has stirred significant unrest within the Jain community, with local residents closely monitoring developments regarding the sale of the temple property.
