Pune: Jewellery Worth Rs. 2.15 Lakh Stolen from Gera World of Joy Housing Society in Wagholi
Wagholi, 25th April 2024: A theft occurred in the late evening hours in Wagholi, where thieves managed to steal jewellery valued at over Rs. 2,15,000 from a residential home. The incident took place at the Gera World of Joy Housing Society in Wagholi on Sunday (21st April) between 8 pm and 10 pm.
A 26-year-old woman from Wagholi filed a complaint with the Lonikand Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the unknown thief.
According to police reports, the complainant had left her residential home around 8 pm, locking it securely. Upon returning a couple of hours later, she discovered signs of forced entry. Upon further inspection, she found that her travel bag, kept in the gallery, had been opened and jewellery worth Rs. 2,18,000 was missing. She immediately reported the incident to the Police Station.
Lonikand Police have registered a case under IPC Section 380 (theft in dwelling house, etc.), and Police Constable Karnavar is currently investigating the matter.
