Shivajinagar, September 29,2020: Ten dialysis machines have been installed at the Jumbo COVID facility located at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP). Relevant measures are being taken to ensure that patients with comorbid diseases are treated on time.

“Dialysis facilities are not available for COVID patients in any of the government-run hospitals. Keeping this in mind, we have installed this facility, so it’s free of cost for all COVID patients admitted at Jumbo facility”, Pune Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal told PunekarNews.in.

Meanwhile, the patients have expressed gratitude with the provided existing facilities. “Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Health Minister Rajesh Tope, Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar along with Standing Committee and other key officers have inspected the Jumbo facility from time to time and improvements are being made as per their instructions”, said Agarwal, who is also the executive head of the Jumbo COVID centre.

To reduce the mortality rate, helpline number
02025502110 has been made available for information on bed availability, and 02025502525/26 for relatives to contact with their family members admitted at the centre. “Care would be taken to ensure that senior doctors would be available at night to reduce the death rate”, she added.

Many facilities and specialist doctors have been appointed to provide immediate treatment to positive patients. “The video call facility provided to the relatives of the patients is also excellent, so the confidence of the patients seems to be increasing”, Agarwal informed.
