Pune : Junnar Receives 166 MM Rainfall In Last 24 Hours, Narayangaon Records 69 MM Rain

Pune 8th Sept 2023: Several areas in the district have received a heavy rainfall in the last few hours. According to IMD, villages near Nimgiri Fort and adjoining areas have received a heavy rainfall as 166 mm rainfall has been recorded here in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the IMD has recorded 69 mm rain at Narayangaon, 50.5 mm rain was recorded at Ballalwadi village and 41.5 mm rain was recorded in Khed in the last 24 hours. The IMD record shows that areas in the city limits have received very less rainfall while the ghat sections have recorded a good rain in the last few hours.
According to officials, 14.5 mm rain was recorded at Pashan, 11 mm rain was recorded at NDA and 10.5 rain was recorded in Shivajinagar in the city limits.
It may be noted that the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Pune for the next two days. The IMD has predicted ‘heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places’ in Pune district on September 8 and 9.
