Pune 8th Sept 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has started conducting a survey to identify more routes in the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) limits to extend the ‘Non-Stop’ service. The decision to extend this service was taken after the PMPML received a good response for the service on the newly started routes.

According to officials, a total of around 200 routes are being checked by PMPML and 20 routes have been already identified by the transport department. Buses travelling on the long routes are being preferred by the officials to start this service.

The initiative was started by the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) recently on four routes. It was started with an aim to reduce the travel time of PMPML commuters who travel on long routes withing the PMRDA limits. Buses running under this initiative run without conductors and the commuters have to purchase tickets before boarding the bus only. The Air Conditioned buses being run on four routes have received a good response since its launch.
