Pune: Junnar Records 86 mm Rain Last 24 Hours, Ambegaon Records 63 mm While Shivajinagar Records 25.6 mm Rain

Pune, 24th Sept 2023: The district has received a heavy rainfall after a long dry spell resulting in the increase of water levels in the dams. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted the rainfall activity for a few more days.

According to IMD data, Junnar has recorded 86 mm rain in the last 24 hours while Ambegaon recorded the second highest 63 mm rain in the district. Similarly, 54 mm rain was reported at Purandar, 51 mm at Chinchwad, 29 mm at Baramati, 27 mm at Ballalwadi, 26 mm at NDA, 25.6 mm at Shivajinagar, 24 mm at Pashan and 20.5 mm rain was reported in Koregaon Park area.

The water level at the Khadakwasla cluster has also increased by over 1% in the last two days. According to the data shared by the irrigation department, water level at the Khadakwasla cluster was reported 95.30% (27.78 TMC) today which recorded 93.89% (27.37 TMC) on Thursday. The storage in the Khadakwasla dam has reached 74.91% (1.48 TMC), Panshet 100% (10.65 TMC), Warasgaon 100% (12.82 TMC) and Temghar 76.37% (2.83 TMC).
