Kalepadal Police Raid Busts Illegal Hookah Parlor in Pisoli Farmhouse

Hadapsar, 4th July 2026: The Kalepadal Police have busted a clandestine hookah parlor operating inside a farmhouse in Pisoli. The high-profile raid, conducted on Saturday, July 4, 2026, resulted in the seizure of property, vehicles, and electronics worth an astronomical ₹75,80,731/- (Seventy-Five Lakhs Eighty Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-One Rupees).

While the specialized detection branch of the Kalepadal Police Station was on active patrol duty within their station limits, Police Amaldars (Constables) Mahadev Shinde and Atul Pandharkar received a highly confidential tip-off from a trusted informant.

The informant revealed that a suspect identified as Anis Sayyad and his partner Sad Sayyad were secretly and unauthorizedly operating an illegal hookah parlor. The illicit business was being run “under wraps” (secretly hidden) at the Pisoli Farmhouse, situated on Ambika Hotel Road near Jagdamba Marg in the Pisoli area of Pune.

The Raid and Seized Goods
Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the police team set up a trap and verified the information on the ground. Upon confirming the illegal operations, they raided the farmhouse. During the raid, the police caught 8 to 10 individuals in the act of smoking illegal hookah.

The police immediately took the customers and operators into custody and seized a massive haul of assets. The seized property, valued at ₹75,80,731/-, included:
03 Four-Wheelers (Cars)
02 Two-Wheelers (Motorcycles)
12 Mobile Phones
08 Hookah Pots
Assorted tobacco hookah flavors and related smoking paraphernalia.
Official Registration of the Crime
The Kalepadal Police have officially registered a criminal case under Crime Register No. 298/2026. The accused have been booked under:
Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) (representing joint liability and common intention).
Sections 4-A and 21-A of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) (Maharashtra Amendment) Act, 2018.
Assistant Police Inspector (API) Amit Shete of the Kalepadal Police Station has been officially designated to lead the ongoing further investigation.

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Zone 6) Jeevan Beniwal, ACP (Hadapsar Division) Atulkumar Navgire and Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar, in-charge of Kalepadal Police Station.

The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Annaso Babar, Police Sub-Inspector Raghuvir Khoda, and police personnel Pravin Kalbhor, Dawood Sayyad, Pratik Lahigude, Shahid Shaikh, Nilesh Desai, Amol Fadtare, Atul Pandharkar, Vishal Thombare, Laxman Kale, Nitin Dhole, Saddam Tamboli, Pradeep Bediskar, Mahadev Shinde, Giriraj Jagdale, Nandkumar Jawle, Dnyaneshwar Kulal, Akshay Jagtap, Shubham Pawar, and Meghraj Jadhav.
