Pune: Kalyani Nagar Residents And Club Owners Reach Agreement On Noise Pollution Issue

Kalyani Nagar, 26th June 2023: A significant meeting was held on Saturday between the residents of Kalyani Nagar, members of Team Swachh, and the owners of Elrow Club, Sandeep Sahastrabudhe, and Sumit Choudhary. The meeting, attended by representatives of Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar and several residents, addressed concerns regarding noise pollution in the area. A favorable resolution has been reached.
Previously, there was frustration among residents due to the delay in addressing the issue and implementing soundproofing measures by the club owners. However, during the meeting, Sandeep Sahastrabudhe and Sumit Choudhary, the Director of Elrow Club and Unicorn House, took the opportunity to listen to the valid concerns voiced by the community members. They expressed their commitment to ensuring a peaceful and harmonious coexistence between the club and the surrounding residential area. The owners apologized to the community for causing nuisance and emphasized the importance of a tranquil environment for residents.
In response to the concerns raised, the owners made a substantial commitment. They assured the residents that the pub would strictly adhere to a closing time of 1.30 am, effectively minimizing any disturbance during the early morning hours. This decision reflects their dedication to maintaining a respectful balance between the vibrant energy of the pub and the serene atmosphere of the neighborhood.
The agreement reached between the residents and the owners of Elrow Club and Unicorn House is a testament to the power of open dialogue and constructive engagement. To ensure accountability, a WhatsApp group has been created, including the residents and club owners. The club owners have promised real-time addressal of any nuisance created by them or their customers. This initiative aims to provide a platform for prompt and constructive communication, further strengthening the bond between the community and the club.
