Pune: Kalyani Nagar, Wadgaon Sheri Residents Suffer From Noise Pollution Due To Modified Silencers
Kalyani Nagar, 18th January 2023: The residents of Wadgaon Sheri and Kalyani Nagar, Pune, have been struggling with noise pollution in the area due to modified silencer bikes and cars at odd hours.
“Noise pollution is all over India now and is not taken seriously, though it has many health hazards. We have to realise and stop it before it’s too late, just like air pollution and Coronavirus,” residents of Kalyani Nagar and Wadgaon Sheri told Punkarnews.in.
Residents explained that noise pollution not only causes hearing trouble but also adversely impacts the human heart, psychology, digestive system, hypertension, and fertility. “Senior citizens, kids and even pets are getting impacted by such issues and are deprived of peace and sleep, which is a basic civic right,” the residents said.
The residents have intently studied and combined the effects of noise pollution, proving prevention is superior to cure. They hence hope that action will be taken against the concerned and change will be initiated.
