Pune : Kasarsai Dam Filled Upto 99% Of Its Capacity, Water Discharge Likely To Start
Pune 28th August 2023: The water storage in the Kasarsai Dam has reached 99% of its capacity due to which the officials have alerted the citizens to be alert as the water discharge is likely to start soon from the dam. According to officials, the decision to further start discharge will be taken based on rain reported in the catchment area.
According to the details shared by the assistant engineer of Khadakwasla cluster, the water level in the Kasarsai Dam is increasing and if the rain continues in the catchment area water discharge into Kasarsai Nullah will be started. He has also advised citizens to not enter the Nullah and remove animals or any equipment kept inside for the safety purpose.
It may be noted that the water storage in Khadakwasla cluster was recorded 7% less on Monday compared to the water storage reported on the same day last year.
