Pune : Two Men Caught While Stealing Construction Material From Metro Site In Hinjewadi, Case Registered
Pune 28th August 2023: In yet another incident of theft reported at the under construction site of Metro in Pune, construction material worth Rs 10,800 was stolen from Hinjewadi on Sunday. A case in this regard has been registered at Hinjewadi police station against two people.
According to the complaint registered with police, the accused identified as Bunty Suresh Navgire (23) and Swayam Vikas Kamble (18) both residents of Rahatni were caught while stealing construction material from the Metro site in Hinjewadi and taking it away in an Auto Rickshaw. The officials later handed them over to the local police for further action.
According to police, the incident took place at around 1:45 am on Sunday. Police have booked both accused under sections 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and they have been arrested in the case.
It may be noted that the metro line between Civil Court Metro Station and Hinjewadi is being developed by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) under the Public Private Partnership model.
