Pune: Khadki Cantonment Board Ex-Vice President and Two Others Booked for Rape and Molestation

Khadki, 5th April 2023: The former vice president of Khadki Cantonment Board, Duryodhan Bhapkar, has been accused of molestation and indecent behaviour towards a young girl, while prime suspect Dikshant Gautam Chavan has been arrested for allegedly raping the girl after giving her soft drink laced with sedatives. Another individual named Don has also been named in the case.
According to police, the 22-year-old victim had been lured by Chavan under the pretext of discussing marriage arrangements with his parents. After giving her the soft drink, Chavan raped her and filmed the indecent act on his mobile phone, threatening to make the video viral if she did not agree to marry him. The victim has also alleged that Bhapkar molested her and behaved obscenely towards her after seeing the video. Don, who was allegedly involved in the incident, gave the victim a sum of Rs 5000 and threatened her to keep the matter quiet.
Pune police have registered a case against all three individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and an investigation is underway.
