Pune: Koregaon Park Police Registers Case Against 100-120 Osho Ashram Followers for Illegally Entering Ashram Premises

Koregaon Park, 23rd March 2023: Yesterday, a group of 100-120 Osho Ashram followers allegedly gathered at the entrance of the Ashram in Koregaon Park, Pune, and raised slogans against Ashram’s management. The followers reportedly attempted to enter the premises, leading to a scuffle with police and Ashram officials.

The police have registered a case against the followers for illegally gathering and attempting to enter the Ashram. Additionally, one person, identified as Varun Vineet Rawal, has been booked for shouting slogans and pushing the police.

According to a complaint filed by Dhaneshkumar Ramkumar Joshi and Swami Dhyanesh Bharti from the Ashram’s management, followers such as Pramod Tripathi, Prem Paras, Sunil Mirpuri, Swami Chaitanya Kirti, Gopal Dutt Bharti, Swami Gopal Bharti, Rajesh Wadhwa, Swami Dhanya Anugrah, Kishore Labshankar Rawal, Swami Prem Anvi, Jagdish Sharma, Swami Aman Bismay, Ari Razdan, and Kunika were involved in the incident. The dispute between the Ashram’s management and the followers continues.

Joshi was allegedly pushed by the followers during the scuffle, and Ma Sadhana, an 80-year-old member of the trust, was reportedly manhandled.

During the incident, Vaibhav Kumar Pathak, a journalist for New India News, also tried to enter the Ashram. Police have booked him also.

Further investigation is going on in the case.
