Pune: Labourer Killed By Friends Following Dispute While Consuming Alcohol, Case Registered
Pune 23rd August 2023: In a shocking incident reported in the Wagholi areas of the city, a labourer was killed by his friends following a dispute while consuming alcohol. Police have booked two people in the matter and they have launched a search in the case.
According to the complaint registered with the police, the deceased identified as Shailesh Mandgikar was working as a labourer in the area and the other accused were also working with the same contractor. Mandgikar was removed from job by the contractor and while consuming liquor in an open near society they had a dispute after Mandgikar accused one of his friends of provoking the contractor to remove him from the job.
This further escalated following which the accused identified as Ram Subhash Shriram (25) and Gopal Dnyanoba Kotalapure (25) attacked Mandgikar using a sharp weapon. He sustained serious injuries in the incident and was declared dead by the doctors. A case in this regard has been registered at LoniKand police station under relevant sections.
