At that time the Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh had assured to complete the rest of the land acquisition process within 1 month. This land acquisition will speed up the Chandni Chowk flyover project.

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to negotiate the land acquisition of 5 acres for the widening of the service road approved in the development plan adjacent to the proposed flyover in Chandani Chowk. However, due to some court cases, it was decided to do the said land acquisition through the Collector’s Office.

Accordingly, in March 2022, the collector’s office issued a preliminary notification for the same. Accordingly, on Friday (September 16), the awards of 5 areas, a total of 3,215 sq.m were announced.

In this, a compensation of Rs 11 crore 42 lakh will be given immediately. These proceeds will be seized on Monday (September 19) and transferred to the Municipal Corporation and immediately transferred from the Municipal Corporation to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The final selection of land acquisition of 48 properties was announced in December 2020 for this project. Accordingly, 6 hectares of the land in January 2021 were transferred to the Pune Municipal Corporation after taking possession and then to the NHAI. Since the land acquisition of 5 properties has been completed, the Collector’s office has informed that there is no land acquisition process for the project in Chandani Chowk.
