Pune Land Records Department Launches IPSIT System for Online Property Card Updates
Pune, 6th August 2025: The Land Records Department has introduced a new computerized platform, IPSIT (Integrated Property System IT tool), to streamline the process of recording purchase and inheritance entries on property cards (also known as property extracts).
With the launch of IPSIT, citizens no longer need to visit the City Survey Office or the Sub-Divisional Land Records Office for these updates. Instead, they can now submit applications online from the comfort of their homes.
Earlier, the department had made online applications available through its “e-Hakka” portal for updating records such as inheritance entries, loan details, and encumbrances. Building on the same digital framework, the IPSIT system is now live and accessible via the official website: mahabhumi.gov.in.
“In recent years, we have undertaken the task of creating property cards for all villages and hamlets with populations above 2,000, as well as for major cities in Maharashtra,” said Rajendra Gole, Deputy Director of the Land Records Department.
Track Applications and Submit Online
According to Dr. Suhas Divase, Commissioner of Settlement (Jamabandi), the new IPSIT system also enables citizens to track the status of their applications in real time, making the process more transparent and user-friendly.
Citizens can now apply online for:
Inheritance entries
Purchase entries
Gift deed entries
Loan encumbrance entries or removals
Entries based on relinquishment deeds
