Pune: Legal Aid Booklet Dedicated to Women Released at Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College’s International Women’s Day Celebration
Kothrud, 5th March 2023: International Women’s Day 2023 was celebrated at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College in Pune, with distinguished guests delivering speeches on the rights of women in contemporary India.
Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women in New Delhi, gave the keynote address, while Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean of Bharati Vidyapeeth Law Faculty and In Charge Principal of New Law College, delivered the welcome address, encouraging women to assert their rights. Dr. Vivek Saoji, Vice Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth, emphasized the importance of self-realization.
The event also included a book release ceremony, during which a book titled “The Succession Act,” co-authored by Dr. Ujwala Bendale and Dr. Jyoti Dharm, was published by Dr. Aman Mulla of Delhi Law House. The book was graciously released by Rekha Sharma, along with a legal aid booklet dedicated to today’s women, the nation builders, designed and articulated by Dr. Salil Shringarpure and legal aid volunteers of the college. Dr. Aman Mishra served as the convenor of the program.
