Mohammadwadi, 12th October 2021: A week after a ‘leopard cub’ was sighted in Wadkarmala, now a ‘leopard’ has been captured by CCTV camera in the Jadhavmala area of Mohammadwadi in Pune.

After getting information, forest department officials have begun scanning the locality. The department is yet to confirm if it was leopard or wolf, said Manoj Parkhe, a forest ranger.

However, the department has sounded alert and asked the residents who are living in fear, to be alert and not to travel alone at night.

Prabhag 26 Corporator Nana Bhangire has written a letter to the Wanowrie forest office requesting them to look into the matter.

The resident said that the leopard was sighted in Angul Park and Sanket Park area.

“We are surveying the area and yet to confirm whether it was leopard or wolf”, Parkhe said.
