Keshav Nagar, 19th December 2025: A leopard was spotted again in Keshav Nagar early Friday morning, triggering fresh concern among residents. According to locals, the big cat was seen around 4.55 am in the Kumbharwada area near the Renuka Mata temple. Residents immediately alerted the Forest Department and local police.

This is the second consecutive day of leopard sightings in the area. On Thursday early morning, the animal was reportedly seen within the premises of three housing societies in Keshav Nagar, prompting forest officials to launch a search operation.

Providing an update on Thursday, Forest Department officials said that teams were actively searching in and around the Keshav Nagar area. CCTV footage from multiple residential societies is being examined to track the leopard’s movement. Officials also identified a nearby nala with dense vegetation as a possible hiding spot, where trap cameras have already been installed.

The department further stated that thermal drone surveillance would be deployed after evening to aid the search. Public awareness activities have been conducted to advise residents on safety precautions and to avoid venturing out unnecessarily, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
