Pune: Lohegaon Records Highest Rainfall at 58 mm; Traffic Jams And Electricity Cut Reported In Many Areas

Pune, 10th May 2024: Pune experienced heavy rainfall today, leading to several disruptions across the city. Many areas have reported fallen trees, traffic congestion, power outages, and waterlogging due to the downpour.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Lohegaon, where 58 mm of rain was reported. Wadgaon Sheri received 37.5 mm, Shivajinagar 28 mm, Chinchwad 26 mm, Magarpatta 13 mm, NDA 12 mm, Pashan 10.8 mm, Narayangaon 9.5 mm, Nimgiri 5.5 mm, Koregaon Park 5 mm, Ballarwadi 4.5 mm, and Hadapsar 2.5 mm.

These heavy showers have caused inconvenience to residents and authorities are working to address the issues caused by the rainfall.
