Pune Lok Sabha Elections: Rs 3.8 Lakh Cash Seized in Kasba Peth Assembly Constituency
Kasba Peth, 22nd April 2024: Assistant Election Returning Officer Sneha Devkate disclosed the seizure of a significant sum of Rs 3.8 lakh.
The seizure occurred today around noon in front of the Shaniwar Wada Gate, within the jurisdiction of the Faraskhana Police Station, Pune city police. The cash was confiscated from an individual who failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for its possession.
In light of the lack of clarity surrounding the origin of the funds, the amount has been deposited into the District Treasury Office for further investigation and appropriate action.
