Pune: Loni Kalbhor Police Arrest Trader And His Two Sons From Gujarat For Cheating People Of Rs 3.6 Crore

Pune, 21st June 2021: The officials from Loni Kalbhor police station under Pune city police have arrested a man and his two sons from the Kutch area of Gujarat for allegedly duping people to the tune of Rs 3.6 crore. They lured people under the pretext of lucrative returns on investment.

The arrested persons have been identified as Bharatkumar Charandas Joshi, Deepak Joshi and Hiren Joshi, all residents of Bhuj in Kutch district of Gujarat. Based on a complaint from Dnyaneshwar Narayan Kalbhor, an FIR was registered against them at Loni Kalbhor police station. Earlier the case was investigated by Pune rural police. Now the police station has been included in Pune city police jurisdiction.

According to police, the accused has lured 11 people, including complainant Dnyaneshwar, to give attractive returns on investments. Accordingly, the amount was taken from the citizens through RTGS and bank accounts. However, people neither got the returns nor the amount which they had invested.

Senior police inspector Rajendra Mokashi, in-charge of Loni Kalbhor police station, said that a team led by Police Sub-Inspector Amit Gore camped in Bhuj for three days and nabbed the accused persons.

“The accused were absconding for the last nine months. We appeal to people to approach us if they have been cheated by the accused persons who operated LC Joshi and company, Hiren Trading Company, Shri Omkar Traders and Dipak Tea Suppliers”, Inspector Mokashi said.

The action was taken under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (East region) Namdev Chavan, DCP (Zone 5) Namrata Patil, ACP (Hadapsar division) Kalyanrao Vidhate an, Senior Inspector Rajendra Mokashi.

The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Subhash Kale, PSI Amit Gore and policemen Nitin Gaikwad, Ganesh Satpute, Srinath Jadhav and Ajinkya Jojare.
