Pune: Lonikand Cyber Investigation Team Traces and Recovers 21 Lost Mobile Phones
Wagholi, 11th March 2023: In a commendable move, the Lonikand Cyber Investigation Team has successfully traced and recovered 21 lost mobile phones belonging to various companies, including Apple, Samsung, One Plus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, and MI.
The phones were seized and handed over to their owners by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Shashikant Borate.
The recovery comes after several complaints were registered at the Lonikand police station (Pune city police) by various complainants regarding their missing mobile phones. Taking cognizance of the complaints, Senior Police Inspector Gajanan Pawar gave orders for tracing and recovery of the lost mobile phones. The Lonikand Cyber Investigation Team was then tasked with the responsibility of tracing the missing phones.
The team, with the help of technical analysis and gathering information about the mobile phones, was able to successfully trace the phones and restore them to the owners.
The investigation team included ACP Kishore Jadhav, Senior Police Inspector Gajanan Pawar, Inspector (Crime) Maruti Patil, Sub-Inspector Suraj Gore and police personnel Sameer Pilane, Sagar Patil, Kirti Narvade, Komal Bhosle and Vrindawani Chavan.
