Pune: Love Triangle Takes a Dark Turn, Woman Killed by Lover After Leaving Husband
Khed, 14th January 2024: A woman who left her husband to be with her lover was brutally killed by the very person she hoped to spend her life with. The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday (9th January) at a stone crusher quarry in Kharabwadi.
The victim, whose identity is disclosed, had left her husband to marry her lover, identified as Devendra Kumar Shyamalal Lodhi (27), a resident of Kharabwadi and originally from Madhya Pradesh. The police have detained Devendra Kumar in connection with the murder.
According to Police Sub-Inspector Vilas Gosavi, the deceased woman and Devendra Kumar had been in a relationship since 2010. However, complications arose when the woman discovered that Devendra Kumar was planning to marry another woman, who happened to be his brother’s sister-in-law.
Faced with this shocking revelation, the woman proposed marriage to Devendra Kumar, insisting that she would only marry him. In a chilling turn of events, Devendra Kumar allegedly responded by luring her to the hills in Kharabwadi on a bike and callously pushing her from a height into a nearby stone crusher quarry. She lost her life in the fall.
The police were alerted to the incident, and Mahalunge MIDC police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
