Pune: Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneurship Development Established in Pimpri-Chinchwad to Foster New Businesses

Chinchwad, 2nd November 2023: Recognizing the pivotal role of Pimpri-Chinchwad in the industrial landscape and economic development of the state, the Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED) has been inaugurated in the city. This initiative aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with information about various opportunities, registrations, licensing procedures, and government loan schemes. Citizens with entrepreneurial aspirations are encouraged to make the most of this resource.

MCED, an autonomous organization under the Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra, was established in 1988 with the primary objective of fostering, promoting, and disseminating entrepreneurial skills throughout the state. To facilitate this mission, MCED has established offices with essential facilities at each District Industry Center.

The organization conducts a wide range of training programs, both free and paid, designed to benefit the general public by imparting essential entrepreneurial skills. Over the last 35 years, MCED has positively impacted more than 16 lakh beneficiaries by providing training and post-training support for those looking to start their businesses. This approach equips new entrepreneurs with the knowledge and guidance necessary to navigate government loan schemes and subsidy programs.

MCED has extended an invitation to interested citizens in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area to reach out to their office at Gate No. 2, Auto-Cluster Premises, C-181, H Block, Chinchwad for further information.
