Pune, 10th May 2025: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Maharashtra has set a target to complete the centralized online admission process for Class 11 by 15th August, a procedure that typically extends until Diwali. Junior college classes are scheduled to commence on 11th August. Approximately 16.76 lakh seats across 11,700 junior colleges in the state will be available for the centralized online admission process, ensuring close monitoring of every student’s admission.

Sampat Suryavanshi, the Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, provided these details during a press conference, accompanied by Assistant Director of Education, Shriram Panzade. Until now, the online admission process was limited to junior colleges in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati municipal corporation areas. Under this system, around 4.5 lakh students secured admission to approximately 1,730 colleges with 6.25 lakh seats. Now, the centralized online admission system will be implemented across the entire state.

Suryavanshi announced that a dedicated website, https://mahafyjcadmissions.in/, has been launched for the class 11 admission process, with student registration starting on 19th May. Through this centralized process, students will be able to apply to multiple colleges across the state using a single application form. Coordination officers have been appointed to oversee the admission process in each district. Additionally, guidance centers will be established in all colleges to assist students from rural areas.

On the website, higher secondary schools and junior colleges have begun registering for the Class 11 admission process. Only colleges certified by the respective Divisional Deputy Directors of Education can register on the platform. Junior colleges seeking to admit Class 11 students must obtain approval from the Divisional Deputy Director’s office. Suryavanshi emphasized that stringent actions will be taken against institutions admitting students to the Class 11 or Class 12 without proper authorization.
