Pune: Man And His Wife Arrested For Killing His Girlfriend
Kondhwa, 26th February 2023: In a shocking incident, a man and his wife were arrested for killing the man’s girlfriend in Kondhwa, Pune. The victim, Fatimabi Sheikh, was allegedly strangled to death by Rais Hanif Sheikh (40) with the help of his wife Shabana (35) due to her interference in their relationship.
The couple then attempted to cover up the murder by hanging Fatimabi’s body to make it look like a suicide.
The incident came to light after Fatimabi was admitted to Sassoon Hospital, where doctors confirmed that she had been strangled to death. Police were then informed and began investigating the case. During interrogation, Rais and Shabana confessed to killing Fatimabi, leading to their arrest.
The victim was identified as a 34-year-old resident of Kondhwa Khurd. She was allegedly having an affair with Rais, who was already married to Shabana. The couple reportedly plotted to kill Fatimabi after she interfered in their relationship. The case has been registered at the Kondhwa Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing.
