Pune: Man Arrested for Rape of 13-Year-Old Sister-in-Law
Pune, 13th April 2023: Pune police have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly raping his 13-year-old sister-in-law. The victim, who is originally from Uttar Pradesh, had been staying with her elder sister in Pune for the past three months when the incident occurred.
According to police, the accused took advantage of the girl being alone in the house and forced himself upon her. He allegedly stripped her naked and had physical relations with her. The victim later informed her sister about the incident, but she ignored it and supported her husband. The girl left the house and was on her way to Pune railway station when she was approached by a young man who took her to the police.
The police conducted a medical examination and confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted. During interrogation, the victim told the police in detail what had happened. The accused, who works in the POP industry, has been arrested and charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
