Pune: Man Arrested For Stealing Mobile Phone Tower Parts Worth Rs 10 Lakh
Pune 8th August 2023: The Crime Branch Unit of Pimpri Chinchwad Police has arrested a person from Chikhali area of the city for allegedly stealing parts of mobile towers. The accused identified as Zameerullah Hakirulllah Saha (46) was taken into custody from a rented house in Jadhavwadi area by police.
According to police, the accused along with his associates had stolen parts of a mobile tower worth Rs 10.62 lakh from a godown located in the Jadhavwadi, Chikhali area. A case in this regard was registered at Chikhali Police Station under relevant sections.
The Crime Branch Unit of the city police was conducting a parallel investigation in the matter. An input was received about the accused planning to transport the stolen material. Accordingly, the police team laid a trap and he was arrested. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
