Pune: Man Attacked with Beer Bottle at Mundhwa Restaurant, FIR Filed Against Goon and Accomplices
Mundhwa, 11th December 2023: A man enjoying a regular dinner with his wife fell victim to a violent attack by a group of individuals, including a notorious goon, at Bazooka restaurant in Mundhwa’s Pingale Wasti on Friday, December 8.
The 36-year-old victim was reportedly assaulted with a glass bottle during the altercation. Mundhwa Police have filed an FIR under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and other relevant charges as per the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Criminal Law Amendment Act.
As per police, the victim and some of the accused were acquainted. The was an argument with the accused, who were seated at another table. Mangesh Tambe, a individual with a history of criminal cases, allegedly struck the victim’s face with a beer bottle, resulting in injuries. The accused individuals further intimidated both patrons and restaurant staff.
The case has been registered against Mangesh Tambe, along with Akshay Gagde and Gotya. Assistant Police Inspector RV Mahanor is leading the investigation.
