Pune Man Booked For Harassing Woman For Feeding Stray Dog

Hadapsar, 31 August 2021: Pune city police has registered an FIR against a man for allegedly threatening, abusing and stalking a 28-year-old woman IT employee for feeding a stray dog.

 

According to the police, the complainant and the accused man are neighbours. Though the incident has been taking place for the last three months, an FIR was registered on Monday.

 

A female dog has recently given birth to puppies. The complainant has been feeding her at a designated place. However, the accused has alleged that the dog often pooped outside his house and began harassing the complainant and other feeders. A CCTV camera has also captured the accused running behind the dog with a spiked weapon.

The accused man, who works with a biopharmaceuticals company, has been booked for offences under section 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), 354 (d) (stalking), 509 (intending to insult the modesty of any woman), 504 (intentional insults) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
