654 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 1,09,616 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 30 August 2021: A total of 654 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 805 people were discharged from hospitals. 16 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 1,09,616 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9240 active patients in the district and 4471 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4769 are in home isolation. Out of 654 new cases, 128 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 84 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 66 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 08 in cantonments, and 368 in rural areas.
Among the 16 deaths, five were in PMC, two were in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), one was in cantonments, and seven were in rural areas. Out of 805 discharged patients, 171 were in PMC, 227 were in PCMC, 44 were in municipal councils, 09 were in cantonments, and 354 were in rural areas.
