Pune: Man Booked For Obscene Post on Facebook Against Prakash Ambedkar
Pune, October 13, 2020: An FIR has been registered by Pune city police against a man for allegedly posting obscene comments and photo of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) president Prakash Ambedkar on Facebook.
Based on a complaint from VBA party worker Manoj Kshirsagar (33) of Ganj Peth, an FIR has been registered by Khadak police station against Suraj Chavan of Katraj. He has been booked for offences under section 505 (2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill will between classes) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant section of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
During a press conference in the city recently VBA president Ambedkar had criticized the government and MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje. “One king is stupid. The other, Sambhajiraje, is talking over various other issues other than the Maratha reservation. We need to take care while allotting the Maratha and OBC reservation”, Ambedkar had said.
