Pune: Man Climbs High Power Electricity Tower Demanding Basic Facilities For His Society

Pune, 11th March 2022: Shriram Pawar, a resident of Sanket Vihar in the Fursungi area, yesterday climbed on a high power electricity tower demanding basic facilities like road and water supply for his society. The fire brigade team reached the spot. The man later climbed down after being pursued by the other residents and officials from police and fire brigade.

Speaking about the incident, Pawar said, “We are demanding drinking water supply and road connectivity from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Even after keeping continuous follow-ups, the PMC officials are ignoring our demands. I cannot afford to buy another house, but it is difficult to stay in the same house. I am very frustrated with this situation.”
