Pune: Man Commits Suicide After Shooting Another Person Near Jupiter Hospital Baner

Baner, 10th February 2024: A shocking incident took place near Durga Cafe, close to Jupiter Hospital in Baner, as a youth was injured in a gunfire attack, and the accused took his own life shortly after the incident.

The victim, identified as Akash Jadhav, a Baner resident, was assaulted by Anil Dhamale, an acquaintance who lured him under the pretext of going to a nearby café for coffee.

Jadhav, who sustained injuries in the shooting, was rushed to Jupiter Hospital for urgent medical attention and is currently in critical condition. The accused, after perpetrating the attack, fled the scene and later took his own life by shooting himself in Aundh, in an autorickshaw. The driver informed the police.

Officials from Chatushringi police station under Pune City Police said that the preliminary investigation point to financial dispute between Jadhav and Dhamale.

Further investigation is going on.
