Pune: Man killed in broad daylight in Kondhwa
Kondhwa, June 2, 2020: A 46-year-old man was murdered by four persons in broad daylight in Kondhwa yesterday evening. Pune City police have registered an FIR but the accused persons are yet to be arrested. The incident has sent shockwaves in the area.
The deceased person has been identified as Bablu Ibrahim Sayyed (46), who lived near Nawazish Park in Kondhwa. Based on a complaint from his uncle Liyaqat Manzarali Mir (68), a resident of Kasba Peth, Kondhwa police station has booked Saif Farid Sayyed (24), Tausif Farid Sayyed (25) and their two accomplices.
According to police, the incident took place around 5.30 pm on Monday at Shahid Chowk near Nawazish Park in Kondhwa. The accused persons were armed with blunt weapons and they attacked Bablu. He was bleeding on the road when police reached the spot and rushed him to a hospital. However, he succumbed to the injuries. Police suspect the murder to be the fallout of past enmity. However, the exact motive behind the murder could not be ascertained yet. Police Sub Inspector Chaitali Gapat is further investigating the case.
